I am biased towards converged networking on IP. I'm invested in LU via ASND, NT, COMS (don't know why) and CSCO. I am more heavily weighted in CSCO since I believe they have the inside edge on IP. LU is weighted down by the need to continue to sell 5E's - this is where the bulk of their revenue comes from. They have transition issues that CSCO does not. ASND is a leader in ATM and Frame Relay. Technologies that have limited life and going forward (say 2-3 years out) a shrinking market as IP over Optical gains a foothold.

As for MM, I do play with him a bit but only because I've never seen anyone quite like him before. His attacks on the CSCO thread are about as crazed and uninformed as can be. Nearly anyone that knows anything in the industry agrees that Cisco's management is beyond compare but they are saddled by questionable ability to deliver new products and stable hardware. MM believes that CSCO has great products and weak management. So, I suppose it's his ignorance that I so love to attack. Don't mistake this for a company bias. I've always said that no one should ever be married to a stock.

More to your point now..as biased as I may be (towards IP) I do not even compare to MM. He's in a league of his own.
