I don't believe that Brad & Jeff would have sold SI to Go2Net if they had not been assured that their vision for SI would remain intact. As such, Brad's promises became Go2Net's promises, and I think that the parent company has every intention of following through on their promises to the Dryers and therefore to SI's members.

SI has a Director now to oversee the site and it seems to me that this is a good thing for Brad & Jeff. I'm assuming that they are more able to remain focused on what they want and need to accomplish while letting others deal with much of the extraneous corporate crapola that used to tie up much of their time.

The downside to this is that things move more slowly in a larger corporation than in a smaller company. It's unfortunate, but no big corporation is immune to red tape. When more people are involved, more complications can occur unexpectedly. However, the ability to take the site to new levels might not have been as easily achieved (if at all) had SI not been acquired by GNET, IMO.

When there are several cooks in the kitchen instead of one or two chefs, sometimes the broth takes more time to simmer.

It does get made though and might be even tastier in the final analysis. ;) Patience... :)
