J.D., I looked at my notes on the share dividend and this is what I found on the subject:

IR says that the company has been quite clear that they will give a dividend if you are a purchaser by the record date--not closed or settled, but a purchaser. I asked if I buy shares on Friday the 7th, would I get the dividend and was told that I would.

I suggest you call Russell Godwin (800-547-9375) to verify and then call your broker to set them straight.
