Since I am possibly known as the person who usually has something negative to say about almost all recognized investment heroes, just thought you might like to hear something I read in Forbes regarding the "great" Bill O'Neil (and his "great" methodology called (I think) "CANSLIM" (I do not remember what that stands for)).

Mr. O'Neil set up a mutual fund that would use only his CANSLIM techniques to accumulate and manage a portfolio of stocks.

Whenever I hear about something like this. I always think : "Great ! Now we will have an absolutely un-biased, audited record of how someone's ideas or techniques do in the real world."

Well, just like (the "great") Elaine Garzarelli's fund, the O'Neil based fund performed miserably, and was quietly folded.
