I keep telling them that buying a stock by selling a naked put is the most conservative investment policy (assuming one is going to buy the stock anyhow ), but to no avail.

Zeev, frustrating yet familiar story. What is the cause of this?

A. Is it that they don't want us profiting from their own devices?

B. Is it that they don't trust us to use naked puts carefully? (Then why don't they just debit margin in an amount equal to the value of the stock against which a put is written?)

C. Some other reason? Any thoughts?
