Thanks for the TRADE RATE info Richard, thats the kind of information we should be sharing on this thread. As soon as I figure out what I'm doing, I'll see if I can pass some info along. 8-)

Ive just started to take note of the trade rate hot sheet too. It really does point out the hot stock of the moment.

What I'd really like to see is a hot sheet that gives "unusual trade rate", thereby filtering out the DELL's on the list. I'd also like to be able to average over longer than 1 minute.

Most of all what I would like is something that monitors for breakouts. A sudden change in price accompanied with a high trade rate.

Are any of these things avaiable within Qcharts or with supplimentary software? Unfortunately it is not always obvious from the name of the hot list exactly what it is.

For example what is "US stocks Very Short Term Up"? Sounds like a useful thing. Maybe that is what I'm looking for. Cant test it out until the market opens.

**On a related note: Anyone have suggestions for the best place to look for software that searches for specific TA conditions in EOD charts?

I'm new with Qcharts. How do I set the trade rate hot list to 100 stocks? With the market closed, the hot lists don't really work right now, but even so I can't find where to limit or extend it to 100 stocks. Also is %net a default field it uses or can you add fields to a hot list?

Thanks
Dan

Is it possible to set a hot list on a symbol file of our choice? that would be great.
