Gary, Edelstone didn't go to hold with Intel, he went to outperform, which, I believe, GV Tucker said is next below strong buy in MSDW lingo.

"Morgan Stanley analyst Mark Edelstone cut his rating on Intel
Corp. (INTC: 54-13/16, - 3-3/16) to market outperform from
strong
buy, Morgan Stanley said. Edelstone cut his EPS estimates to
$2.25
a share from $2.35 for 1999 and to $2.55 from $2.60 for 2000."

This says the downgrade was to "outperform". Was it really to hold?

Gary - Re: ". My sense is that it will close the gap at 49.75 finally and perhaps base at 48.50-50 area. my 2c"

Thanks for your 2 cents.

I just love this gap stuff.

We haven't heard from one of you gappers in a long time.

What do you think Intel will be selling for on Sept. 17, 2005 ?
