As MUCP becomes more and more powerful, we need to expect shorts around. I suggest we do not let ourselves have a "thin skin" to shorts criticism.
Let's deal with shorts as a natural part of the investment process.
Be ready to fight them, but focus on issues, not personal anger.
A cool and intelligent long doesn't feed the shorts nearly as much as an angry long.
When shorts cross over the line past what is legitimate short actions, that's the time to alert others of abuses.

MUCP is just starting to be a glam stock - lets get ready.

Off topic:

Funny thing happened today. The wife signed us up for one of those BMW, "Ultimate Driving Experience", demonstrations. They were displaying their wares and teaching "accident avoidance" driving techniques. (Nice euphemism for legally driving like maniacs..:0)

They put us in a couple of manual and automatic 328i's and took us around this mini-race track they had set up, and proceeded to teach us amateurs how to brake and accelerate around corners which eventually led up to a timed competition between 7 person teams.

Well to make it short, home boy here, after screwing up a couple of familiarization runs/attempts that reaped me an average 19 second circuit, was the first guy in line for the competition. Call it pressure, call it everything coming together, call it a miracle, but I came in with a very respectable 17:08 and sat back and watched the wife pull in a equally respectable 17:41, with the rest averaging from 17:36 to 20:00.

But what was interesting was when the instructors, all of whom were professional Formula 1-4 race car drivers picking up a few extra bucks from BMW, started THEIR runs, the quickest was 16:01 and the average was around 16:20.

And these guys had been running that track ALL DAY LONG!!!

Now I have this little orange cone with the BMW symbol and "Best Performance" sitting on my computer monitor... I beat everyone but the professionals, our team won, and the Mrs. beat all of the other men and women on both teams (except one woman who was really tearing up the track).

So excuse me if I'm feeling a little cocky tonight... :0) And the wife is feeling her oats as well... I have a feeling she'll have a 1/2 dozen speeding tickets by the end of the month... <VBG>

Btw, you have GOT TO CHECK OUT the new 540i with the "steptronic" dual transmission. It's like a manual without the clutch. It was ABSOLUTELY A BLAST TO DRIVE!!! So much of a blast that when racing this guy in a Z3 down the home stretch back to the event area (on civilian roads), I fed him a steady diet of burnt hydrocarbons, and almost had a nasty encounter with two local state troopies in the process.

They actually looked like they were turning around to get us, but FORTUNATELY they either lost us or opted to leave us be. (I heard BMW slipped a couple of grand towards the policemen's ball, just for this event... ;0)

Regards,

Ron
