Don't know. Never could figure out the analyst game. I guess they recommend a buy when their company controls a lot of stock it wants to get rid of, or maybe there are some shorts they want to squeeze first.

IMO, it's a lot like the OTC-BB pump-and-dump newletter scams. Like the newsletter scams, if you are already in the stock, it's pure gravy. I happen to be in one this weekend - PCTR was recommended by Quick-pick site at 3:45 Friday.

I place little confidence in analyst opinions, unless a lot of them downgrade a stock which means you should already be out and might want to look for a buy. I never buy on an analyst upgrade recommendation, although I may play the bounce a few days later when pump and dumpers finish selling.
