You are, finally, 100% Correct.

MPR was in lock step with you on their praise for the great Cyrix 6x86 and M1/2 Chips and the great AMD K6 chips and preaching how AMD and Cyrix were going to Kill Intel with sub $1000 PCs, etc., etc.,

Cyrix is now DEAD.

AMD is bleeding money and their last chance, the K7, may be unmanufacturable.

So, all in all, MPR has a terrible record on their evaluation of Intel and its competitive position.

By the way - go back to Slater's late 1980's articles where in every monthly issue he would issue an obituary on Intel's x86 CPUs which would ALL SOON BE KILLED by this or that RISC chip.

Slater's opinion and track record are abysmal.
