A horrible story.

And not so long time ago I had a "vision" that that not (only) happens at IPOs but in other special situations as well. Consider a "daytrading" company, whom is granted thousands of cheap shares in turn to daytrade a stock far up on news and so, alleviate unloading a vast amount of shares at well higher prices.

Till now it never turned out that it works thia way, but the IPO tie-in article comes very close to that. Brrr. The average investor, err, online gambler doesn't hold good cards.

Byron always does a good job of embarrassing the SEC and doing their job.

<<But others say that with big and much-hyped deals, the brokers
are required to clear their arrangements with the firm's syndicate
manager. Says one fund source on the matter, “It's just one of
those corrupt things that goes on all the time on Wall Street.
There's nothing more to it than that.”
>> BBBBSSSSSS!!!!

I have suggested to Byron in the past... "Don't stop here." - continue with
investigative reporting into the financial payoffs and bribes that are given
to Arty Fagan and his impotent SEC boardmembers to enrich them personally
and assist all broker-dealers, originating AT THE TOP GOVERNMENT LEVEL - to "steal"
from all retail investors.

The problem ORIGINATES in Washington, DC - not Wall Street!!
