To All: This address has a nice run down on what is at stake and what the hurdles are for either company concerning K-7 and delay of CuMine:

It is also interesting to consider the notion that the delay of CuMine and the new intro date coincides with RMBS intro schedule.

Kap,

I know first hand that the K7 SPEC numbers have put the Intel folk into a total and utter state of shock, panic and disbelief.

Someone posted this a while back:

"K7 was architected using techniques which produce good SPEC scores, so I expect that SPECint will be a little better than PIII, and SPECfp should be decidedly better than PIII."
