To the male gang out there... ""HAPPY FATHERS DAY"" DAD'S!! Simplifed thought on any IP Voice system........ Untill the firms in the business are full reporting they could say there business is composed of 200,000 or 300,000 clients as there would never be any any type of reported slamming as with a full operating telco.... When the cards are printed and placed out on the street who would know how many clients were added on to the new service?? This may be a great addition to any IP Voice program from a PR, standpoint. I wonder who the first firm will be to anounce totals of new clients????? The IP Voice systems maybe IMO, accepted for home use or rate base customers, yet for business there would be a very high grade of service needed. In the past the customers would exit as fast as they came if there service was poor. Should these firms rush the product to market and the network is not 100% I'm talking pure 100% redundant there cannot be great value placed on IP Voice use. What would cause one to use IP Voice would be the great connection, no line loss, no clipping of voice, no fadeless voice, no loss of packets in side the system, no down time of any system in the front side or back side of the connections over the IP Voice Network. Each time a system needs to be maintained it must go off line just like the internet we all know of today. So would that stop a call from going through??? There are going to be some very good things to look forward to in the new IP Voice service when the systems are just 95% pure, clean, networks. So we need to address the fact of how much time this will take and when will anyone in the business offer the users redundancy. This IMO. would be very decuman in the overall network of Wide Area IPV. It is something that has never been addressed in anything read on IPV Gateways to date. Regards, Have a great Father's Day!!! Jim...
