Hi Christopher, I don't believe anyone at SI has gone "days" without responding as the Datek ad did only appear in the last day or couple of days, right? :) I don't doubt that you did immediately address the issue with various Admin., but as I said, sometimes we may not get immediate responses as PEOPLE DO TAKE DAYS OFF OR HAVE OTHER PRESSING ISSUES TO ADDRESS believe it or not! Who would've guessed that one ad would generate such input? Maybe if they had known that there would be a megaresponse to this, they'd have all shackled themselves to their 'puters, stayed up all night (yeah, they have to stop doing that, you're right!), hired 50 Kelly temps., and pumped out responses to every pmail/email/post that was generated by this issue in addition to the hundreds of pmails/emails/posts that they each get each and every day! Instead, I think they might be scratching their heads and wondering how this particular glitch has caused such an uproar. You are quite right though, that the lack of response is 'so out of the pattern', but like I said they take days off too and sometimes, things happen which prohibit people from responding as quickly as they'd like. They're only human for goodness sakes! Why are folks being so incredibly demanding and insensitive to the fact that they all (and that's only a few people really!) cannot possibly be on duty 7 & 24? I don't think I'm an apologist, but sticks and stones... so whatever. <gg> Just because I'm a dissenter from the majority of posts on this issue doesn't mean that I'm apologizing for anyone. I'm defending SI. I don't think they've done anything for which to apologize unless changes or explanations for a lack thereof do not appear within a REASONABLE amount of time. To me, I'd say that a few days to a week would be needed to resolve any bugs or technical glitches that unexpectedly occur. I think that we members are very spoiled in expecting (as you stated yourself) almost immediate responses to our complaints & concerns. Since that didn't happen this time, everyone automatically assumes the worst. The conclusion you and others have drawn is not inevitable to me and it stinks. I am trying to get you guys to see the other side of this and to be a little more patient. Best, V.
