Mark, I haven't tried the onebox.com yet. I guesss it won't be available until July 1 or so. Some of the differences between onebox and myTalk that I see:onebox.com 1. Onebox only offers free local access over the phone. This appears to be a big disadvantage compared to myTalk where you can access your mail for free over the phone from anywhere in the U.S. 2. It doesn't appear as they have any type of speech recognition or VUI platform. According to their website, your can only listen in on voice mail. To access true email, it appears as though you may to access that information from a PC. 3. >>>The company's mission is to provide the world's first free Internet communications service offering voicemail, fax, email and paging for theWeb and telephone.>>> I guess the faxing capability and paging are areas where onebox has a leg up on myTalk. I would assume that GMGC will work on the fax. Also, I think myTalk will shortly have paging abilities (next month). I do see some short falls with this service. Mainly that you can't have emails read to you over the phone and no free long distance access. I do, however, like the idea that you can call onebox at "your designated phone number" and leave a voice message. But the flipside is that if I were to call your number in California, then I would be charged long distance rates. Why not just email you and then have you return my email message by .wav file. Anyway, it looks as though that onebox has no SR or VUI technology whatsoever. It appears that any carrier could in a matter of weeks or months do the same thing as what onebox is offering. In fact, I think I read on onebox.com's site that you need a key pad to punch in your pin number. Take care, Kurt PS I will try to look at the ureach.com site later.
