Doc, Mark wont mind... Royce Holland is the CEO of ALGX which is Allegiance Telecom. He once president of MFS under CEO Crowe - which is where you get the PKS connection from - right after Tony Pompliano left office (Pompliano now heads up ESPI).

I've heard him speak several times, once in Washington about seven years ago, while he was still with MFS. He was speaking across from Bob Annunziata in a two-man contrasting views kind of presentation, concerning the future of CAPs, as they were called then, during a competitive access provider conference.

I could be wrong in my classification here, but I'd classify ALGX as an expanding regional CLEC, branching out both territorially and from a service mix perspective, and being on a par, I'd say, with ESPI.

Mark, pick it up, and provide any comments or corrections as needed.
