It might pull back - but the Excite@Home deal was not fact on Friday - other deals are to be announced soon - I think there is a shareholders meeting on Thursday - and buyout rumors make this one in play - could run big on Monday or pull back - only the crystal ball knows - but I like the pick for the medium term - I'm in at 4 31/32 on Friday --

Wit; point well taken, however, GMGC may be included on the INDEX next week due to it's upward trend and future potential; sometimes a great run is followed by another great run;

Unfortunately, due to once a week INDEX changes, I'm unable to 'time' the market on any individual stock pick, so over the next two weeks we'll see how GMGC works out;

Time and again, I have missed "great runs" in the short term, and have ended up with long-term 'holds' on each INDEX; in addition, we've had stocks on the INDEX which have surpassed the expectations of even the original 'stockpicker'.

I always try to be patient with any stock that has an upward trend, good news, strong management & overall investor confidence;

When you look at the INDEX you'll see many stocks that didn't 'pop' for many weeks, and other stocks which have yet to 'pop'; but, these incubating stocks will remain on the INDEX because I still believe they have strong upside potential.

As an example, IFCI has been on the INDEX since mid-January, and just last week rose above it's original purchase price on the INDEX; there are many other stocks like DCTI & WKWG which will remain on the INDEX due to their future possibilities, but as of now are still 'dormant';

On the other hand, if a stock is very weak in the first two weeks on the INDEX, and if it appears as though it was just a 'weekly play', it will most likely be deleted after its initial tryout.

Once any stock is mentioned on the thread (in any manner whatsoever) it's officially 'up for grabs' as a candidate for inclusion on the INDEX; so, even though the original SI member may have lost their initial enthusiasm for their own pick, the stock is still 'fair game' on the thread to become an INDEX component;

So, basically, what I'm saying is: I take full responsibility for choosing any stock as an INDEX pick once it has been posted on the thread;

btw. the reason this post is so long is because this subject has come up quite often on the thread, and I'm writing this response in an attempt to clarify thread procedure for all those who participate over here (hopefully, all members will now understand why a pick that is no longer of any interest to the stockpicker may still be chosen by me for the INDEX).

Wit; I appreciate the opportunity to explain my position...all the best, sw
