Sorry--I must have missed the part where "Chris has been pushed past his fun point by personal remarks he took very deeply into his heart." When did that happen? The FBI is doing its own studies to see whether that person who argued that guns actually PROTECT people from crimes (I think you cited it once before) is replicable and true. Perhaps when the results come out, we could discuss them. I think this is a big part of the difference in our positions--you believe that guns are helpful to law abiding citizens, and I believe that on the whole, they are harmful. Would you agree that this is the basis of our disagreement, since we are both good and kind citizens at heart? Or do you believe that people should be able to own guns even if it is conclusively proven that there is a huge social harm, far outweighing the good? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I am not trying to provoke you. I always regard you with affection, although perhaps it doesn't come through every time.
