Dear ELF,
I too recall all of what you have stated. A long time ago ( a year or so )I spoke with Mr. Muller and he was/is in fact an old friend of Murphy's.
yup, I noticed the profitability has waned since the full acquisition as the cost of sales has been increasing in effect making the "holding" darn near a wash, ( overall cost of sales continues to rise as well, much to my chagrin ). When one considers all Muller Media has done for the Company overtime even if it is sold for a "paper" loss ( lower than what was paid for it ) it would still be a good move IMHO. Happy Dad's Day ;),,, B

I thought maybe the "long term friendship" reference that our "expert" made may
be a factor in our hanging on to an business entity that clearly has NOTHING to do with
DCTC's future.

In retrospect, it would certainly appear that the Company would have been much better off not paying the $3 mil it did for Muller, doesn't it? Well, I suppose it is important in the business world to keep one's word, whether given to an old friend, or in an arms length transaction. But still............

>> The profitability of Muller is waning...

Ernie et al., wake up and smell the Internet. Content is king, and technology is on the verge of making video over the Net a no brainer even for the biggest dolts with keyboards. Although I advocated selling it before the Godzilla movie came out -- which essentially bombed -- to take advantage of interest in Muller's older Gordzilla rights, missed opportunities don't necessarily mean that future opportunities are foreclosed.

On a different point, I think DCI would benefit from reconstituting its board of directors. We need more outside blood advising management, in MHO, and I am most certainly NOT referring to previous employees nor business partners. ggg.
