On the spur of the moment we piled into the Frau's Honda and parked just west of Hwy 101. It was quite a hike in - but we spent an hour at the show. I didn't get to see the Connie except way off in the distance - but I did pay my respects at the ASW-24, and I let somebody pitch me about a smallish very modern powered two-seater. I pointed out the parked Long-Eze to Family and made some impolite remark about John Denver.
That was the first time I got to see the inside of the Big Hangar. For folks who care even a little about the hardware of aviation - the feeling it invokes is akin to that you get from stepping into one of the great Gothic cathedrals.

We saw some really wild aerobatic propeller planes do crazy stuff like an inverted flat spin for like ten full turns. And I DID get to see two of those cherry-red '17s make a pass!!!
