Kraig, unfortunately, the Curtis Mathes deal is not a "done" deal yet. Not until money changes hands which I am sure has not happen yet. These are the type of things that I always talk about. Nothing is a given when dealing with Custer. History is very important with this company. I try and drum that in because it never fails

Over the next several days (or weeks……it might take that long to list them all), I will try and give out the short version of the past 3 years.

<<<<CRTM said it will demonstrate a new line of big-screen t.v. sets on May 23rd 1996 at the Consumer electronics show…….Custer told Newsbytes the set-top box is expected to sell for under $400 and will ship in the fall..>>>>>

Neal tells inventors UNIVIEW SET TOP........will be on shelves first week in November, 1996. National TV uniView box commercials appeared on CNN and other Turner channels starting Oct 28 1996. Our friend Tim Luke is cutting down everyone that have any doubts as the days drag on. "GOOD THINGS DON'T COME EASY! CRTM IS NOT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS TOMORROW. THIS WILL BE A $7 TO $10 STOCK REAL SOON. IAM TRYING TO GET SOOM HARD FACTS TO BACK THIS STATEMENT UP. AND WHEN I DO YOU WILL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW. ITS WORTH THE RISK TO HOLD YOUR SHARES AND WAIT FOR THE MOVE UP. THEN TO SELL NOW AND BE SORRY LATER." Then the first let down………DALLAS, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Curtis Mathes Holding Corp announced today that the company has planned the initial shipping dates of its new UniView products for early 1997 to coordinate with the implementation of advanced Internet support services.
"The scheduling of the UniView's delivery is consistent with Curtis Mathes' desire to maintain its reputation for excellence and quality, while providing the best TV Internet experience available," said Patrick Custer, chief executive officer of Curtis Mathes. "Further, our features should provide important, long-term sources of revenue from on-line services, home shopping, advertising and credit card uses, well above the profits from the sale of the UniView hardware boxes only." "Although the company would have been pleased to have UniView on the shelves for the holidays, given the superiority of UniView and the estimated size of the market, we do not see a material impact on future revenues," Custer added. Custer further stated: "It is in the best interest of its shareholders for the company to ensure UniView's total functionality by designing and implementing the proper Internet support service.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1997- Development of the uniView and its expanded features is continuing, with consumer availability through retail outlets expected in the second quarter.

Second quarter came and went.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1997--Curtis Mathes Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:CRTM) announced today that it has signed another -million dollar advertising schedule with Turner Broadcasting for the continued promotion of Curtis Mathes' line of new uniView(TM).

Notice the word "signed". It meant nothing. No million dollar advertising took placed.

LAS VEGAS/Consumer Electronics Show--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1997. Curtis Mathes Holding Corporation (NASDAQ:CRTM) announced today that it has signed manufacturing agreements with McDonald Technologies of Carrollton, Texas for forthcoming lines of the uniView products. Initial agreements call for McDonald Technologies to manufacture the first 100,000 units beginning first quarter 1997.

Custer in an interview also says "Curtis Mathes is manufacturing 100,000 of the UniView.

They could have used any number. It could have been 1,000,000 or 1 billion. The number of units mentioned was bogus.

We have good old Tim Luke doing his thing again. TO ALL WHO THINK SO NEGATIVE ABOUT CRTM "SELL YOUR SHARES".I SEEN THE PRODUCT AND FROM WHAT I SAW I HAVE FULL FAITH IN THE PRODUCT. THEY WOULD NOT HAVE PUT ON SUCH AN IMPRESSIVE SHOW AT CES. THE UNIVEIW IS FOR REAL AND WILL BE RELEASED. SO ONCE AGAIN IF YOU ARE SO NEGATIVE ABOUT A COMPANY THEN SELL. THIS IS A NEW PRODUCT AND THEY WILL HAVE THE UNIT ON THE MARKET. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE MICROSOFT, INTEL, IOMEGA ECT. BEFORE THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL IN THE WORLD OF BUSINESS?

After a period of time Tim Luke starts to waver.
TO ALL: I just got off the phone with Mr. Katz, and this is what I was told, the release is still going to be in late April. The first press release will be in the first week of April , In that first release they will announce the retail distributor's and product details. Also they will be increasing the ads on tv and getting exposure in various news and magazine publications. Let me just say that I'm documenting the date and time of these calls to Mr. Katz as to the information that they are releasing to their investor's . Lets just hope that they don't let us down this time I think its time for them to reward their investor's. They will be getting a call from me at the end of the month!

DALLAS, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Curtis Mathes Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: CRTM) announced today that the company has expanded THINK New Ideas, Inc.'s (Nasdaq-NNM: THNK) role to integrate specific Internet solutions assignment, including interactive and off-line support materials. The projected value of the account has been estimated to exceed $1,000,000.

I will bet that you have never heard of this deal afterwards.

Tuesday, Apr 8 1997 Curtis Mathes Holding Corporation (NASDAQ:CRTM) announced today that it has expanded its relationship with Sun Microsystems, by licensing Java(TM) technologies as a total solution for uniView(TM) future products.

What happen to Java? Bust. Company took millions on write offs of junked software costs.

Press release in April announces Thomas O Mara's promotion to VP of Sales and Marketing. They stated, "The first uniView devices WILL be shipped at the end of this month.

CRTM, felt confident enough to leave out the word "should".

When do you think the first shipment took place?

Also, do you know what happen to these big screen TV's? Nothing. Bust.

And talking about big screens, they also introduced a 10 footer . Ever heard of RealView? Bust big time.

Tuesday May 13th ……the launch party. First units to be ready to sell on the 14th.

Yeah right! Bust.

Our friend Tim Luke is getting mad.
Friday, Jun 27 1997 I'm also ready for the attack but it won't be on SI it will be at CUSTER and company. Trust me on this one I have alot at stake here and I have documented every conversation with CM. I'm also including the retailers that I have spoken with this bullshit that that they keep telling us is getting very old ( 2 years old for me ). I will spend the money and sue them , I know that I have been one of the biggest supporters on this thread and I'm sorry if anyone is offended by this post.

I'm sorry that I seem so negative now, but things change and I no longer feel we will see that ten bagger that I onced said we would see. I have really lost faith in the mangement this damn thing should have been on the shelves by now. I hope I am wrong for the sake of all the good people on this thread but I don't feel the same and I don't have the time to follow the company anymore, my sell order is in and I'm just waiting. Best of Luck Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Tim and his friends had over 100,000 shares.

7/24/97, the June 30 target date was lost due the kiosk changes. The comapny debated putting out a news release with a new target date. It was felt that putting out a release with a future planned date for sales would be viewed by the investment community as another "been there, promised that". It was therefore decided that the next release would be a "now here, done that" release, stating the product was out, where it was selling, the reaction, etc.

8/15/97 Five Fry's stores were on line as of Monday: San Jose, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Freemont and Campbell. Plans are to add one or two additional stores each week. This would include the additional stores in California, as well as the six Incredible Universe stores purchase by Fry's (Portland area, Phoenix area, Dallas area).

As for BrandsMart, it was supposed to go on line around two weeks after Fry's....so that would place it around the last week in August.

What do you think happen to BrandsMart.........and eventually Fry's?

On Thursday, Aug 28 1997 I came up with my famous "five promises" of hopes post.

<<<<<<With Carl just coming back from a long meeting in Dallas, he is naturally flushed with renewed hope, just like Tim Luke, & Rich Julian did back when they had their turn talking with the company. (Tim Legge is the only one that came away with a "Nuff said" attitude.) What will determined if there is truly a change in the company's direction, is if they can finally come through with the information that has been giving to Carl.

We MUST see these promises that Carl has brought back with him fulfilled, or else it will be the last straw. All of the following must be completed on time as promised if there is even a glimmer of hope that we can salvage something from our investments. If the company fails again just like the many times in the past, you can forget about a Merry Christmas. The company will be trashed on this thread, like it has never been done before. Custer and Company are on noticed that we will not tolerate anymore broken promises!

1. BrandsMart has the uniViews in the stores within 15-30 days.
2. Turner TV commercials begin within 30 days.
3. Announcement of additional National and Regional retailers within 30 days.
4. Investor Relations will improve drastically within 10-30 days.
5. Direct Web site sales within 0-15 days.

It is now up to the company to bring forth the above promises, ALL by the end of this coming month, September. If EVERYONE of these items comes true, it will be a day of rejoice, to finally see the people who are in control regain some of the lost credibility back into their court.

NEAL: Please print several copies of this post and paste it to the walls of all offices. Especially, to the front of Custer's door. Thanks. >>>>>>>>>

Well, history tells us that the important items in the list of five NEVER happen. BrandsMart was a total bust. CRTM shipped the units to one of the stores, but BrandsMart returned the units back to Custer with a not so good note of "up yours" type attitude. Turner TV commercials NEVER appeared. Announcement of National retailers NEVER took placed. Direct Web site sales did take place, but months later. IR "improved drastically" was more spin control.
