"Snap Lake Pizza" comes in at about 30 million tons + .If we assume that the "pizza" ie: the "orebody" at Snap is 2.5 kms wide and we assume an average width of 2 to 2.5 metres. This gives us a volume of roughly 10 million cubic metres. The density of hypabyssal kimberlite is roughly 2.7 to 2.8 gms/cc (or possibly higher). So, lets say 2750 kgs per cubic metre (remember a cubic metre of water weighs 1 tonne (1000 kgs)), for simplicity lets say 2.7 tonnes per cubic metre. Using the above we get a total tonnage of around 2.750x10 million. That is 27 million tons. The latest PR from WSP puts the grade at US $ 181 per ton. Therefore this gives a value for the "pizza" at around $US 5 billion. In my opinion this is a mine, a Canadian mine at that. It's excellent news. This will take WSP out of the "speculative junior" category and turn it into a mining company. It confirms what RT has been claiming all the time.
