Spam, what is it? Food, yes, but on SI spamming threads will get you suspended or terminated. Silicon Investor has a ZERO (0) tolerance for SPAM.Member 7408029 Member 4518770 Many people have been terminated for SPAM. Terminated the same day for spamming threads. What is SPAM? I remember last year, I was sending poetry to ladies who wanted to receive it and I was told that I was spamming the threads. I was told I could do it via PM 5 poems at a time so I wouldn't be spamming via PM, remember this was poetry to ladies who said they wanted to receive it. I stopped sending the poetry SPAM. What is SPAM? It appears in an act of protest, Josef Svejk SPAMMED the threads with datek.com . What is Spam?com.primenet.com >>SPAM is almost always commercial advertising, although if someone sent Email to the world saying "I like Tom Hanks" or "be sure to wear clean underwear today", that would probably fall under the "particularly pointless" subsection of SPAM.<< I will never participate in self policing of the threads ever again, and I am actually embarrassed that I did in the past. I believe that I will not be the only one, SI will have to hire more cops to police the threads. This post was not made to get anyone in trouble, it was made to have a clear definition of SI's term SPAM. This may be seen as an over reaction from most peoples perspectives, but I believe it's a sign of the future of SI. I think SI should listen to it's members and adopt a clear set of rules that apply to all, the most bookmarked and the little old me types. Like I said before: inconsistent enforcement of the SI terms of use. My previous statement still applies: Message 10193467
