Some sort of screening would be better. Raging Bull lets you mark someone to be filtered out so you never see their posts again. And you can also say you like a post. Maybe with that information you could establish a ranking, as in chess, where every player can be assigned a number based on the results of previous matches.

Ted; When you go to a tread click search ( this subject only ) and
leave the other side blank. It reverses the order of the posts
but brings them up with several lines showing and you can scan fast.
It's not perfect but it beats raw guessing about the context of the
posts.
