My apologies. I see that SI does have some of that integration. Perhaps it is new? At any rate, it is a good step in the right direction. I will try to break the habit of my reliance on Yahoo Finance for that info and stay right at SI where I want to be anyway <g>.

Jeff, and while I'm on a roll, here's another observation. I find SI's charting package clumsy. Again, I prefer Yahoo Finance's. Is it just the color scheme and the line widths?

At any rate, it is amazing how these design elements can impact a user's comfort level with a site.

Rob

? Robert....why click on datek link, then login, then place trade, then skip back to SI in the same browser when you can just open your datek account in a separate browser and then just switch between the two sites (directly to datek trading page without logging in every time)with one simple click...essentially have then both open at the same time. I'm sorry, but convenience to SI/Datek members is not why management put that link up.

I do approve of links concerning quotes, research, etc. because they are of use to all members.....not all SI members have a datek acct and I would hope that those who do choose to access it in similar fashion as described above if they wish to have "convenience" and save time.

Yup, that nicely sums up my stance on this Datek link. I think it is all about convenience and nothing about banners. Don't be surprised to see links IQC and Stocksite in the near future. SI started as a meeting place of the cyber minds and it is now evolving into a super financial site. I, for one, like that.

If that link was to Schwab, or something else with which Go2Net is not affiliated with, then we would be talking adds. As it is, it simply allows for adequate integration of the sites which make up this network and which are of the same type. Do you see a link to Haggle or Hypermart. No, and you'll never see one. Why, because that would go against all logic and take up page space with something useless.

If this was something I could vote on, here's what I would vote: I vote YES for the Datek link and for seeing SI evolve into the fully integrated financial supersite it should be.
