Year to date Tlabs has outperformed: Lucent 100% to 24%, outperformed Cisco Systems 100% to 25%;outperformed Erickson 100% to 46%; Outperformed Nortel 100% to 83%; Outperformed Three Com 100% to (-37%), outperformed Qwest 100% to 70%; outperformed Frontier 100% to 75%; and outperformed Williams Companies 100% to 52%. W WISH I KNEW OF ANOTHER COUPLE OF STOCKS: "companies lower down on the food chain" ---AS SMART MONEY CALLS TELLABS. I love all the would, might, and other subjunctive type words which bring us into the land of "myth" and "hypotheticals" as does this article by Smart Money-----I prefer the real world of "IS" and which companies are "producing NOW" not which might produce in the future. It is similar to all the speculation about how the Satellite was going to replace Cable and Satellite modems would replace cable modems----what happened??? The technology never materialized in a way to have any dent on the marketplace; meanwhile, ATT and others caught on and started buying "cable". So will Tellabs "keep rolling along" just like "Ol Man River". 5
