Doug: The Big powers have data we never see, first they squeeze
the shorts then the margins get squeezed, they call it shooting
fish in a barrel.
Also note that when indexes drop 10% or more the Dollar falls too,
they do a Forex parlay and come back in with cheap dollars.
While the peons saw a 20% drop last July they didn't have an
eye on the dollar index , the big powers got a 30% discount.

This last correction also gave them another 5% discount, beyond
what the indexes went to. It's not just the price of the stock
but the relative price to what the dollar was worth before
the move. Indexes only tell a half truth.
