O.K., Chuzz, but what about the companies--particularly cyclical companies--that have a share buyback authorization and buy only at certain share price levels? Are you equally critical of them? BTW, who says that the managements of a lot of companies, particularly in the basic and heavy equipment industries, are any smarter or have greater information than the individual investor? The managements of these companies usually do not spot cyclical turns any earlier than investors--often they are coincident, you know?
