Hi Teflon, The only economic report out this week is GDP on Friday (as far as i know--could be wrong).
MSFT has an economic witness-----no big deal. He will be able to reinforce the idea that government intervention is bad---the public opinion (and political)seems to be on MSFT's side anyways. The judge and the government will be influenced by this no matter what they say publically.

As i stated before, the rally might be very rapid--and earlier than one would expect. To me it seems that stocks will rally sharply (faster than before). People want to be in the market before the rally, causing huge spikes in the market. We could have huge gains this month, following by declines in July as the time when investors want to exit will also move up. Convinced of the rally but the decline may or may not come until even as late as the end of July.
If we don't have huge gains in June, the rally should be sustainable well into earnings season.
My observation is that the market is getting more and more efficient and people are discounting the future events even faster. I believe MSFT's loss in the district court followed by so so remedies and an appeal are in the market. Any surprise from the trial (like a settlement) will boost this stock like you have never seen before!!
That is another reason people are jumping on the MSFT bandwagon. People anticipate great news overall in a "safe" company.
I still can't believe large cap funds don't have MSFT as the top holding. No wonder a lot of them can't beat the market either.
IMHO, it is the only great stock to own.

The Larry Ellisons and Scott McNeallys' whining is basically telling everyone that MSFT is a "strong buy". Their words are much more reliable than any analyst out there.

I almost forgot to mention what i think about next week's action. My feeling is that MSFT will hit 90 by the end of the week -maybe even as early as Wednesday---we should be at an all time high by the end of the month(95 or over).
If we don't hit an all time high by end of June, IMHO, in July it should happen. Just my guess.
