People will tell you that the ONLY reason AMD made no presence in
corporations is because of performance and since K7 are supposed to
be faster than any Intel offering, it will take away all the
high margin business from Intel. I happened to read some analyst
expecting K7 to easily get into Xeon's market once it is out.

China apparently got control of the U.S.'s thermonuclear secrets without even paying for them. Why should the U.S. bother with keeping control of second-rate, failing companies? Maybe China could buy the Saxon business of AMD. Germany loves to "trade with the enemy" like Iran. One must eat.
