<But neither was it intended to be used as an instrument to destroy Christianity.>

If Christianity is a true religion it will have meaning for people, and will not be destroyed. It seems to be going pretty strong in America, really. Now in England the majority of people are entering pagan religions, and in Ireland most people are still nominally Catholic, but the younger people don't attend church much, and almost no one is becoming a priest or nun. A nun was just convicted there of holding down a ten-year-old girl while she was raped; perhaps it has something to do with that and all of the priests who have been convicted of serial child molestation and bishops with mistresses and children.

Anyway, how is our government being used as an instrument to destroy Christianity, specifically?
