Tata Tea to raise £70m from local market for Tetley buy Our Mumbai Bureau tatatea.com 20 JUNE TATA Tea is in talks with leading European and US-based banks to raise £200 m to fund a £270-m takeover of UK-based tea major The Tetley Group. The deal, being structured by management consultant Arthur Andersen, will also see the Rs 885-crore Tata Tea raising £70 m locally, Bombay House sources said. Tata Tea will float a 100 per cent special purpose vehicle subsidiary, to be incorporated, in all probability, in the UK itself.
