RE: Star Wars

I never could get a grip on that half-horse, half-crab looking creature that was the "nemisis" of Annikin.

And then there was Darth Maul and his fate...rather disappointing, wouldn't you say?

And the Ben Hur Chariot --ERRRRRRRRRR -- Pod Race. Hmmm...where have I seen THAT before???

Yep, rather disappointing.

Saw 'Menace' with the kids Friday. I thought it was OK. Even pretty good**(see my movie rating scale below). It would be hard for him to live up to 'Empire' in this lifetime. I don't go to the movies anymore unless it's to take Los Ninos. The movies are a great time with kids, regardless of the actual pic. Watching a 4 year old balance a soda, a popcorn, and two type of candy (1 choc. and 1 hard or chewy item) is worth the price of 6 admissions. We severely restrict candy and pop intake so anytime they score... it's reason to celebrate.

The battle cry for this Father's Day is "I'm Bored!"... I did get to open my 4 home/hand made cards....complete with illustrations. Lots of suns and cats! Homemade cards are the most beautiful and valuable objects on the planet to this Daddios.

** These days the movie going experience is governed by just 2 very important factors..
1. Is the fake butter sh*t good?
2. Is the attendant willing, time permitting, to put the fake butter sh*t in every 4 inches of corn all the way to the top of the bag?

Did you ever see 'Secrets and Lies'? That was a great movie. Sundance and IFC have the best stuff.

weather update.....a 3 mile stretch of glass has appeared on the western edge of Thurman Bend. The mission, if one chooses to accept it, is to squeeze in 2 good runs before the 'others' are alerted to this rare and naturally occurring condition..especially rare on weekends.
