Simple front-running involves buying a stock then telling your followers to buy it and selling into the price runup which that buying creates. With 3000 members, someone like TJ is in a position to create significant movement on his own in a low-float stock. Essentially you are ripping off your own subscribers who pay for the privilege of being fleeced.

Which makes him an especially loathesome sub-species on the evolutionary ladder (down at the bottom, TJ).

dale barker's understanding of frontrunning is my understanding of it, but he did a much better job defining it than i did. i adopt his definition and reject my own to the extent it is inconsistent with his. otoh, tokyo joe and your state pension fund guy may have been engaged in essentially the same kind of activity.
