DLJ direct is a piece of Crap. They denied a cash account for me because I of a bad credit report. Commision rates are expensive than eTrade. I was planning to open account to get IPOs. But I checked most of their IPOs are underwritten by DLJ and majority of them are under water.

The only reason people are stuck with DLJ because they are one of the first to move in and it is difficutl to transfer a brokerage account because it takes a long time. I would be surprised if any one did not choose eTrade or Waterhouse and went to DLJ Direct.

Merrill Lynch Starts Dljdirect as Near-term and Long-term Accumulate
(This is a headline-only alert, although it will likely be followed by an article soon)

I guess somebody likes DIR..... this could be a strong week, coverage starts and Waterhouse IPO attention, then again this is a tracking stock and we don't have any voting rights - ha, ha, ha, ha

my plans to vote board members out are ruined :) i'll have to settle for making couple thousand bucks.
