Mike,

I've got a couple ideas that might help you feel more comfortable.

I would love to confidently bring to this thread a potential Gorilla--but I may have to first overcome my tendency to bottomfish!

First, we're not big on trying to time a stock relative to its price. At least, that's not the focus of the thread. Instead, we're big on trying to appreciate a company's timeliness relative to its characteristics defined in "the manual."

As for being confident, that's also not a requirement. In fact, if you have reservations about issues in context of the manual, many of us are happy to help you sort through them. It's something we can do in the form of letting you know what questions to ask even if we don't know anything about the company in question. So feel free to toss some ideas into the ring and we'll all do our best to help make it an enjoyable, informative experience.

Since I last mentioned potential Gorilla candidate
Affymetrix, AFFX, the stock has moved from $45 to $58
and now has a marketcap of 1.4B, a 'King' in terms of
it's leadership in the category of genomic chips/gene
probe arrays.

I made my choice by the way...I passed on Gene Logic--
although Steve Push from the company is back on the SI
thread, and that is terrific. Yes, I went for the peon,
or what you fellas call a serf I guess: Hyseq-HYSQ.

No particular reason I am posting this now, except
that I like to follow up on my posts. AFFX is having
a hell of a nice run...would be curious if anybody on
the thread happens to own it.

I've dropped this link off here once before...

I think you can get a feel for the potential of this
sector of biotech from that post.

The serf...
