Mr. Horowitz,

you may want to consider that "ad-less" message boards are one of the few remaining things unique to SI, besides the paid membership.

Sincerely,

GNET shareholder and longtime SI member,

Mike

we are taking all of the feedback on this matter very seriously.

Well, then....

Would you please show me the way to turn the "advertisement [not a banner]" off ?

As I had already requested earlier.

Message 10170477

Thank you in advance.

p.s. just in case we have difficulty in determining what is is, count the above request as a "negative feedback", on any form of advertising at SI

Russell,

Looks like the stockholders and investors are telling you they like the 'Sponsored by Datek' line. Stock is flying today, and this is a awfully big jump to be just on the split.

Great earnings report and great job everyone at Go2Net. Wasn't able to hook into the conference call. Does anyone have a report on the call?

Carolyn F wants you to do the same here for GO2NET but she was too shy to ask personally so since I grew up close to New York I did it.

Dear Silicon Investor Members:

...Classic SI Format...We expect to turn off the old SI site within the next few days...

Sorry to hear it. I think it is a mistake.

Thanks for the memories, Jeff, Brad, Jill, (Bob) and all.

Blah blah blah. Hey Russ, ever remember reading Dr. Seuss The Lorax

Remember why he got lifted away???????

Mister, I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues. And I'm asking you sir, at the top of my lungs. What's that thing you've made out of my Truffula truft?

You've turned SI into The street of the lifted Lorax

"But busines is business, and business must grow"

See ya later you old Once-ler, and good luck!

P.S. What are you planning on doing with the cookies you are collecting? Are you planning on placing a privacy policy somewhere stating your good intentions? Something you will stand by?

Dear Mr. Horowitz;

I just now noticed something amazing.

I just accessed the non-member side of Silicon Investor.

I went to one of my posts.

Inside the text box, just below my message, I found a link to an advertisement for a tout sheet. It was marked "advertisement".

It was inside the text box.

It appears that this advertisement was generated by me, since it is inside the text box.

I do not know how long this has been going on, but I wish to register my strongest objection possible to your company tagging material that is copyrighted by me with an advertisement.

I joined Silicon Investor for several reasons, the main one being to share information about investing in a safe environment, free of outside influences. When the Dryers ran it, it was the best thing on the Internet.

Now, in my opinion, you have perverted not only the spirit of the site, but my own intentions...and violated my copyrights at the same time.

Please accept my immediate resignation from Silicon Investor. Please remove every post I have ever made on this site immediately.

Goodbye, and good luck.

Disclaimer: Underneath the line below is an ad. I had nothing to do with it.

Russ- I've been one of the biggest supporters of GNET, but this takes the cake....I have to agree with TLC

Message 13442561

about the ad for the tout sheet appearing within our messages.

Are you guys trying to drive us away or what?

Please tell me somebody hacked their way into SI and put those there, that you guys wouldn't do something that stupid.

Hi Russell,

Why do you allow this level of incompetence to
exist at Go2Net ?

The Five Tenets of Crisis Communications

Russ: Try this sometime. You might learn something...

Crisis Communications must be:

PROMPT -- else rumor and innuendo fill the void.

HONEST -- or it will come back and bite you!

INFORMATIVE -- enough information to create a story without legally compromising your situation.

CONCERNED -- show people you care about their feelings.

TWO-WAY -- allow for interaction with all important audiences.

I haven't had a whole lot to say about this merger since the announcement. I have taken the passive approach and sat back and watched.

Now I have one thing to say.

Russ, what were you thinking?
