This is such a wonderful post - and in so many ways. That is the sort of thing that makes me proud to be human - for a day or two anyway.

Jo's story

Neat story, well re-told.

At 56, I seem to be encountering more and more widows
and widowers in my neighborhood and at church and of
course among parents of friends. Some seem to process
the loss and move on, while others seem to never get over it.
It would be interesting to hear how your minister has
dealt with her loss.

Stars' championship

While it's not customary for those of us in the Southern
Hemisphere of Texas to be complimentary of things Dallas,
I'll make a rare exception and say 'Congrats Stars!'
After watching most of the last two games, I still hardly
know icing from a hockey stick. The game still looks likes
a helter-skelter scramble with an infrequent miraculous goal
scored. But the fast pace with few breaks in the action,
along with the altercations and rabid fans, make it an
interesting game to watch, even for a novice viewer.
