You know, E, I think you are right. As you know, I was astonished and appalled at how awry the whole thread seemed to tilt. I think we should all back off and take a deep breath. Then perhaps we can have our usual free-wheeling discussions with our usual civility toward one another. I know that many of us have learned from our discussions. I've seen people consider opinions that differed from their own and enlarge their own understanding from the discussions. Let's all try to get back to what has made this thread worthwhile.
