I need a refresher course.....

apparently the new AMD k7 will debut this summer. Contrary to earlier rumors about support of Rambus in the initial iteration, it will support, I think, SDRAM 133. This is supposed to be a 550 megahertz processor. Later in the year AMD is planning to unveil a 600 megahertz version. Questions:

1. Does Rambus have any hope of involvement with this chip family?

2. If not, why not, if SDRAM and DDRDRAM are "limited" technologies?

3. Is there a roadmap? If so, is Rambus on it, even as a possible alternative to other technologies? Do AMD and Rambus have a good working relationship? Any working relationship?
