Really?

Many wars have been fought over religions -- including the current conflict in Yugoslavia pitting the christians against the muslims.

Christianity was the primary cause of the Dark Ages, and humanity's penchant for mystical claptrap has held us back from attaining true knowledge throughout history.

The original christians were a cult -- along with all their offshoots including the apostolics and the mormons to name two more recent ones.
