The semiconductor book to bill ratio remained positive at 1.24 for the month of May. The bookings (orders) increased 9% since April and 202% since a low in September 1998. The billings (shipments) increased 13% since April and 37% since the low in September 1998. This indicator could be related to computer demand.

Also, last week the fewest drives dropped in price than I have seen this quarter. One week means nothing but it gives optimists like me a little excitement thinking it could be the beginning of something positive.
