The media loves to focus on the short-term at the expense of long-term analysis. If Go2Net becomes a top 10 trafficked network of sites on the Web, then there is greater leverage for selling ads... the story to potential ad buyers becomes much more compelling.

We live in a big world where money is plentiful and great technical and managerial resources in short supply. Why doesn't the media focus on how much money would fall to the bottom line from an additional $1 million in revenue? or an additional $10 million in revenue? $100 million in revenue? The potential of the Go2Net business model is not something that has been appreciated by the Media much to date.
