JAKARTA, June 21 (Reuters) - International securities firms Merrill Lynch and
Salomon Brothers will soon arrange the placement of Bank Internasional Indonesia
(MCF) shares worth $1 billion, the Bisnis Indonesia newspaper reported on Monday.

The newspaper reported an unnamed source as saying the placement on behalf of
investors from Japan and the United States would be done at 300 to 400 rupiah per
share.

MCF shares closed at 200 rupiah on the Jakarta stock market on Friday.

The paper reported MCF President Director Indra Widjaja as saying there was such a
plan, but the parties involved were still in negotiations.

MCF, Merrill and Salomon were not immediately available for comment.
