Sig-- excellent points. thank you.

too many people don't think beyond the first step in considering cost/benefits of a company like Dell coming into a community, imo

<<Regarding the argument that Dell is getting 'too good a deal'>>

Sig: Thanks for sharing your email to the Mayor up in Tennessee. You make some great points. Maybe you should sign on and become DELL's community relations czar <G>. You're clearly a passionate and proactive shareholder..!!

Best Regards,

Scott

Sig and Scott:

Nashville is really a different city, with a very odd mentality. Many of my music company friends moved from LA to Nashville in the early 90's to get away from crime and the high cost of living. Most have returned to California. The city is very closed. They are into their good old boy network and they do not like outsiders. This is the town that told Garth Brooks to pack up and go home. I know the guy who said that. This is the town that did not welcome Shania Twain. I don't even like country music, but that was ignorant. Personally, I think Dell ought to withdraw, pick up their toys and play where they are wanted. There are many other places that would welcome what Dell will do for the economy. I travel to Nashville a couple of times a year and it is not my favorite city. My company owns two businesses that are based there. Nashville does not even have a Starbucks. And Tex Mex is unknown in that part of the Country. I apologize to anyone from Nashville. Just my two cents worth! LW
