Bob, re. "pretty good business search engine and city directory"

Have you actually tried to do anything useful with them?

I realize that the advertised intent is that you can't find porn with them, but then what else do they allow you to find?

In my few efforts, I haven't found any useful information from the links provided by their search engine.

My experience with the city editions was also disappointing: they seem to be just a few obvious links to the city's chamber of commerce, visitor's bureau, etc. Information that you could easily find elsewhere, with no added value that I could find that was provided by Hitsgalore.

Do you think that these city editions are worth the $10 M that the co. says it sold them for, in a deal with Life Foundation Trust?

Have you compared them with offerings by search engines that actually do something? For example, compare the following from Yahoo for Madison WI to the offering of Hitsgalore:

dir.yahoo.com

Also, it looks like Hitsgalore offers directories for a few dozen cities. Yahoo offers them for what appears to be thousands.

Their search engine can't even find it's own alleged investor, the stamp-collecting, oil lease-holding Life Foundation Trust.
hitsgalore.com

In fairness, I should mention that none of the other 6 or 7 engines I've tried can find anything either.

Mezz - beginning to doubt the validity and even the existence of LFT.
