Perhaps if you lived in Afghanistan or North Korea you would have slightly less trouble. When majority (mob) rule uses the power of the state to sanction even "innocuous" dogma, it's another step down a slippery slope. Libertarians consistently fight for the rights, economic and civil, of the very smallest minority, the individual.

BTW, Your conservative fiscal views, posted on the Clinton thread, are eminently reasonable. I do wonder why you, (and so many other conservatives), seem to have such a blind spot regarding religion and state. Libertarians strongly advocate private school choice, voucher systems (or something similar), and complete freedom to worship (or not) as one sees fit. It is government sanctioned and/or mandated doctrine (10 C's, for example) that we object to.
