Petz - Re: "how about Vipon"

That's like the Karate Kid movie - "Vipon...Vipoff".

Petz - Re:"whatever happened to Viper K7" - how about Vipon. And what was the dual headed snake thing in Greek mythology -- use that for the server versions.

I believe 'Viper' is actually an internal (AMD) codename for a K7 with full-speed cache. However, I have previously suggested that they use this name publicly (for the regular one): K7 Viper. Sounds good to me. I also rather liked the 'Sharptooth' codename. Generally, AMD seem to make some pretty good codenames (err.. except for that Chomper one).

Are you thinking of a Hydra?
