NCR Expands Network Computing
Product Offerings and Its Relationship
With Boundless Technologies

Introducing NCR Models 2990 and 2992 Thin-Clients

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The long-term relationship between Boundless
Technologies, Inc. (Amex: BND - news) and NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR - news) continues
to broaden with the introduction of two new NCR products based on Boundless thin-client
technology. Positioned as part of NCR's overall customer solutions, NCR Models 2990 and
2992 support industry standard hardware and software, and embrace the functionality and price
requirements of NCR's growing base of end-users.

Boundless Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Boundless Corporation and the largest
U.S. manufacturer of text and Windows-based Terminals, other thin-client solutions and
Information appliances. Boundless is NCR's exclusive provider of thin-client technology.

''As part of our OEM partnership, Boundless will provide NCR with thin-client solutions that
will carry the prestigious NCR logo for distribution under the NCR 2990 and the NCR 2992
product families,'' said Kenneth East, chief operating officer and chief technology officer,
Boundless Technologies, Inc. ''NCR's 2990 series supports true Windows-based Terminals in a
multi-user Windows NT environment. The NCR 2992 model takes advantage of the latest
advances in Boundless technology, providing a small, faster and less expensive solution than
other competing products. These new products will be deployed by NCR as part of total system
solutions such as call centers or data warehousing to customers in its retail, financial, cross
industry and national account solutions organizations.''

The NCR 2990 family of expandable thin-clients is based on an X-86 (Intel-compatible)
architecture with a 133MHz processor and expandable RAM. The NCR 2992 uses a powerful
180MHz Media GXi processor from Cyrix and DiskOnChip flash module, making it the fastest
performing Windows-based Terminal in its class. Both models rely on upgradable software
modules, 'flash' memory and add-on computing features to expand product functionality and to
provide access to additional computing environments without sacrificing initial thin-client
hardware investments. With the same base unit, end-users can move from terminal-like access to
legacy applications to Microsoft Windows, Windows CE, the Internet and to Java applications.

''The addition of Models 2990 and 2992 thin-client technology to the NCR product line
significantly enhances the solutions we provide to our customers and allows us to expand our
relationships with our worldwide base of customers who look to NCR as a major provider for
system solutions,'' said Marty Seyer, vice president and general manager, Customer Interaction
Solutions Division, NCR. ''Boundless worked closely with us to launch NCR's network-centric
computing market and continues to be a partner that helps us enhance our solution offerings.''

Both models are powered by the Microsoft Windows CE operating system and provide support
for Microsoft RDP and Citrix System Inc.'s Independent Computing Architecture®.
Windows-based applications are accessed through the Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0
operating system, Terminal Server Edition and Citrix® MetaFrame(TM) or WinFrame®
servers.

''The Windows-based Terminal solution is a great replacement for green screen terminal
customers who are migrating to a Windows NT environment,'' said Solveig Whittle, lead product
manager for Windows NT Server, Terminal Server Edition, Microsoft Corp. ''The NCR 2990
and NCR 2992 offer customers the ease of use and flexibility of the Windows experience,
combined with the low total cost of ownership and centralized management provided by a
server-centric environment.''

NCR 2990 and NCR 2992 combine the low-cost, hassle-free administration and
security of traditional text terminals with familiar, easy-to-use Windows NT
graphical user interface (GUI) and PC-like capabilities needed to run
Windows-based applications. NCR has licensed Boundless' Viewpoint®
Administrator, a unique software utility that runs on NCR's world class
servers. Viewpoint Administrator is used for the centralized management of
NCR 2290 and 2992 thin-clients. Software maintenance and upgrades on NCR
thin-clients can be managed and initiated from a single location.
