Ram, the bullishness you express reminds me of the CMGI, AOL and RNWK boards a few months ago! Well, maybe not that bad, but take heed of the huge run up, and the probable profit taking here. After all, earnings are not growing at 40% in these companies. OSX looks heavy to me here pushing up against resistance, although I am prejudiced since I sold my Fidelity osx and went into Hong Kong -China on Friday. Just think maybe the enthusiasm needs to be tempered somewhat. After all, it was the negativity in the early winter that caused all the buying. I am now seeing chat rooms talking about HAL like it was AOL! That makes me kinda nervous!
Love it here long term, but for new investors, I'd be careful here!

I WILL WATCH WG AND TK - THANKS! YOUR UNCLE MUST BE QUITE A SURVIVOR! THE LAST TIME I SAW THE OIL BUSINESS GO DOWN WAS @ 1985. AFTER THAT I HAVEN'T HEARD GOOD NEWS ABOUT GROWTH IN THE SECTOR. RESTRUCTURING AND REENGINEERING HAVE STREAMLINED THE INDUSTRY TO MORE REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS IN THE LAST 14 YEARS. FIDELITY SELECT ENERGY SERVICES GAVE THE WORST RETURN OF ANY MUTUAL FUND FROM 1985 TO 1995. RIGHT NOW THERE IS LOT OF VALUE IN THE SECTOR - GLM, IO FOR SURE! ONCE I SELL SOME OF MY SEMI/CHIP STOCKS AND GET SOME CASH OUT, I AM GOING TO BE PUTTING THEM IN GLM, IO, HAL, SLB ETC. I ALREADY OWN ESV - MY AVERAGE ON ESV IS $ 10! EVEN IF IT HITS $ 30 BY END OF 2000, I WILL TREBLE MY MONEY - NOT BAD AT ALL!
YOU WANT ANOTHER UNDERVALUED OIL STOCK - TRY GOU (GULF CANADA!). MY AVERAGE IS $ 3. AT $ 4 NOW, IT IS STILL CHEAP. I WATCHED SOME INVESTMENT FIRM IN TENNESSE BUY GOU BY THE MILLIONS @ 2+, 3+ PRICES . I THINK THEY OWN 35 % OR MORE! GOU WILL BE EITHER BOUGHT OUT OR SOME ASSETS SOLD OFF, FOR A PRICE OF $ 6 OR BETTER!
